Key Takeaways

Haiu brings dedicated Agentforce expertise to Spire

helping organizations move AI from pilots into core business processes.

Lasting value takes more than a successful initial launch:

adoption, monitoring, data quality and cost optimization all matter to provide ROI in the long term.

Customers gain access to complementary expertise

across Salesforce, industries, data, analytics and integration within the Spire ecosystem.

For Bert Van Staeyen and Hans Vanderwegen, the most interesting question about AI is what happens when people start using it. Does it remove work from their day? Does it fit the way their organization operates? And does it keep delivering value once the first version is live?

Those drivers are key to Haiu, the Salesforce AI and Agentforce specialist founded by the two Salesforce architects. Since September 2026, Haiu has been a member of Spire, bringing a dedicated focus on putting AI to work in enterprise and mid-market organizations.

“Most companies bolt AI onto the edges, with a pilot here and a chatbot there,” says Bert, Managing Partner and co-founder of Haiu. “We put it into the processes that decide how revenue is won and how customers are served.”

Different paths to a shared ambition

Bert’s interest in AI began during his computer science studies. Later, in consulting, he joined a Salesforce AI initiative back in the Einstein era and remained part of the technical AI team throughout his time there. Alongside that specialization, he led large Salesforce projects as both a technical and functional lead.

That combination shaped his approach: an understanding of the technology, grounded in the experience of making it work within complex organizations.

Hans, Managing Partner and co-founder of Haiu, arrived from a different direction. A business engineer by training, he began his career in finance before moving into consulting and Salesforce. Over time, he developed into a Salesforce architect, combining a business perspective with technical expertise.

When Bert joined fellow Spire member Brightfox some time after Hans the foundations for Haiu were laid. Coming both from the same previous employer, they reconnected and brought their complementary experience together.

Today, Haiu is a Brightfox company, powered by Spire. Between them, the founders understand both the structure and governance of enterprise programs and the hands-on approach smaller organizations need. That experience helps them adapt their work to the customer’s environment.

A natural connection with Spire

Through Brightfox, Haiu was already close to Spire. Joining the wider ecosystem gave that connection a practical purpose: access to colleagues whose expertise could complement their own.

An Agentforce project rarely involves only the agent. It may depend on industry-specific processes, data from other systems or a broader Salesforce implementation. Several Spire members already work with Salesforce AI and Agentforce; Haiu adds dedicated focus and frameworks to that shared capability.

The collaboration is already taking shape. Together with fellow Spire member Medminds, Haiu is working on a pharmaceutical project that combines a life sciences implementation with Agentforce.

“Their deep industry expertise paired with our Agentforce capability makes for a powerful combination,” Bert says.

For customers, this is where the ecosystem becomes tangible: specialists working together around the needs of the business, with access to industry knowledge, integration through MuleSoft and analytics through Tableau when a project calls for it.

Start with a problem people recognize

That broader expertise matters, but the first step can be focused. Before building, Haiu uses its own assessment framework to identify suitable Agentforce use cases. The aim is to find a problem whose solution can demonstrate value and build confidence among the people who will use it.

For one customer’s sales team, that problem was the administration after a meeting. Representatives had to turn conversations into reports, action points and updates in Salesforce. Haiu built a speech-to-text agent that captures the conversation, identifies the actions and updates the relevant records.

The sales rep still checks if the information is correct, but no longer starts from a blank screen. The application also works offline. The first version took around ten days to build and is now used by the sales team on a daily basis.

Haiu has developed similar visit-reporting solutions for other customers and sees value in automated document extraction as well. These are concrete starting points: people can see how an agent helps with work they already know.

That experience creates a basis for the next conversation. Once a team trusts an agent with a focused task, it becomes easier to explore where else AI could help. A first use case can then become the starting point for broader adoption.

What happens after the first version goes live

Daily use is an important performance indicator for Bert and Hans. A technically sound agent still needs to fit existing processes and earn people’s trust.

“An agent can be beautiful and work well, but if it isn’t used, there is no added value.”

There are also decisions that become clearer in practice, including which model suits a use case and how much each interaction consumes. For one customer, an agent Bert built initially used around 113 credits per question. After optimization, that dropped to roughly 12.

That example explains why Haiu stays involved after deployment. The team supports model selection, monitors performance and adoption, optimizes consumption and continues to refine the solution as people use it. Go-live is the start of ongoing improvement.

Some of that work begins before the build. Agents need context, which depends on the quality of the underlying data. Clear field descriptions, meaningful picklist values and a well-structured Salesforce environment help an agent understand what it is working with. Haiu therefore includes AI readiness in its initial analysis.

Three principles to take into your first Agentforce project

For organizations considering Agentforce, the founders’ approach comes down to three practical principles.

  1. Start small and build trust. Choose a recognizable problem and a focused use case that people can adopt in their everyday work.
  2. Plan beyond deployment. Include user support, monitoring, model selection and cost optimization from the start.
  3. Get your data ready for AI. Give agents reliable data and clear metadata, within processes that are ready to support them.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What does an Agentforce partner do?

An Agentforce partner helps organizations select, design and deploy AI agents within Salesforce. Haiu also supports integration, adoption, monitoring and optimization after go-live.

What are good first Agentforce use cases?

Repetitive tasks with a clear business benefit, such as visit reporting or document extraction, can help teams demonstrate value and build confidence.

    Why monitor Agentforce costs?

Usage and configuration drive credit consumption. Monitoring and optimization help manage costs as agents are used in practice.
